About me
Dr. Dan Stanzione, Associate Vice President for Research at The University of Texas
at Austin and Executive Director of the Texas Advanced Computing Center (TACC), is a
nationally recognized leader in high-performance computing and has been involved in
supercomputing for more than 30 years.
He is the principal investigator (PI) for a number of the National Science Foundation (NSF)
supercomputers, including the current Frontera system, which is the fastest supercomputer at a
U.S. university and is leading the upcoming NSF Leadership Class Computing Facility. Stanzione
received his bachelor's degree in electrical engineering and his master's degree and doctorate in
computer engineering from Clemson University.
