About me
Dr. Dan Stanzione, Associate Vice President for Research at The University of Texas
at Austin and Executive Director of the Texas Advanced Computing Center (TACC), is a
nationally recognized leader in high performance computing, and has been involved in
supercomputing for more than 30 years.
He is the principal investigator (PI) for a number of the National Science Foundation (NSF)
supercomputers, including the current Frontera system, which is the fastest supercomputer at a
U.S. university, and is leading the upcoming NSF Leadership Class Computing Facility. Stanzione
received his bachelor's degree in electrical engineering and his master's degree and doctorate in
computer engineering from Clemson University.
